UNC-TV Presents PBS’ Family Pictures USA Sneak Preview

PBS’s exciting new series Family Pictures USA will premiere on Monday, August 12, on UNC-TV and you can join us for a special preview screening! This screening is a free event but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
FAMILY PICTURES USA journeys through a rapidly changing landscape where the hallmarks of a familiar and idealized “America” are being transformed. From the streets of Detroit, to the shores of Southwest Florida, to the farm fields of North Carolina, we are creating a new purpose for the family photo album…as an integral part of our collective social and cultural history.
Series Host Thomas Allen Harris will be live in the UNC-TV studio for this special sneak preview of the North Carolina episode featuring families from Durham, Rocky Mount and all across our great state! AND YOU’RE INVITED!
UNC-TV invites you and your guests to join local fans and UNC-TV supporters for this special screening event. In addition to the excitement of the preview screening and the chance to meet Thomas Allan Harris and some of the families who participated in Family Pictures USA, we’ll have fun photo booth activities for friends and families to share their own family pictures and take family selfies. Light refreshments will be served.
Join us to celebrate our shared family histories and see North Carolina in new and invigorating ways!

Family Pictures USA premieres on UNC-TV, on Monday, August 12, at 9 PM. Original local program, Family PIctures North Carolina will air immediately following the national premiere episode, on UNC-TV, at 10 PM.
