Producer, Writer, Executive Producer
Don Perry is an accomplished producer & director of unique visual features that communicate organizational strategies in compelling ways to both internal and external constituencies, for a wide range of use, including recruiting, retention, marketing and fund-raising. He is an accomplished writer, having written or co-written scripts for award-winning feature documentaries and short subjects, including the 2015 NAACP Image Award Winning Outstanding Documentary Film, Through A Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People.
Recognizing the power of “Story” in defining an organization, Mr. Perry utilizes multimedia and social engagement tools to foster organizational diversity and inclusiveness across genders, generations and cultures. Mr. Perry is CEO and a lead architect of a new digital media venture DIGITAL DIASPORA FAMILY REUNION LLC which uses the intersection of history and visual literacy to bring people together inter-generationally and cross-culturally around shared values and experiences. DDFR is a unique and powerful experiential platform for leadership and team building; organizational diversity and inclusion programs; diversity and culture education programs; as well as community engagement and brand development programs.
Mr. Perry is an experienced multidisciplinary strategist focused on out-of-the-box solutions for complex organizational problems. His interests, talents and skills are quite diverse, and encompass a wide range of competencies, reflecting a deep background in multimedia development, marketing, finance, strategy, restructuring and entrepreneurship.
In his spare time, he is a writer/publisher of fiction, fantasy, and paranormal stories featuring strong multicultural characters, in recognizable settings, dealing with matters of life, death, spirituality, faith, salvation and the redemptive power of love.
