Monica Sinaloa is a Mexican filmmaker and writer originally from Chicago, IL and based in New York, NY, who focuses on pop culture and issues in BIPOC communities. Her work ranges from documentary shorts/ experimental pieces to the hybrid genre of documentary and narrative. Aside from being an artist, Monica is a senior at The New School and studying Screen Studies. She also runs a student organization that is a stewardship for the SOC space at The New School.
